INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION

Let’s make women Health a priority

Once again, Hope and Change for Haiti-HnC invites you to join in celebrating the International Women’s Day this year. This celebration “Reflecting and Celebrating Women”’ will be held on Friday, March 8th, 2019, at the State House from 3:30pm to 5pm. This year’s theme is Balance for Better Women Health.

The speakers featured in this event are House Representative Teresa Tanzi, Councilwoman Nirva Lafortune, President of RINOW, Hilary Levey Friedman, Executive Director of Our Journ3i, Quatia Osorio and Co-Director of The Woman Project, Jordan Hevenor and a lot more. We are so grateful for having these amazing women agreeing to brighten the evening with their respective reflection.

Although progress has been made in key area like Civil Rights, women continue to suffer from discrimination based on Sexe which affect women to fully live a balance and healthy life. More needs to be done to guarantee gender relations and reproductive rights of women to ensure their mental, physical, and economic health. Women rights are human rights. A woman health is a right. And every woman needs to fully enjoy this right.

This celebration is to offer an evening of reflection on these issues faced by all women in the community. Come to enjoy a great event while strengthen your network.

“Reflecting and celebrating women” is design to offer a platform to discuss issues that impacted women, and promote strategies to take concrete actions to bringing positive change. HnC is committed to celebrate this important day every year through its project “Empowering Women”. You can support this project by giving a donation monthly or yearly. Anything is welcomed.

Thank you for your continued support.
